Phrend Behavioral Health is opening our first office in Northfield, NJ. We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Mental Health Therapist to join our team. Â

As a Phrend Therapist, you will be responsible for providing psychological assessments, diagnoses, and treatments to a diverse clientele base. This position requires a strong understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic treatments, and exceptional interpersonal skills.  The ideal candidate will help us build an environment driven by our core values which are kindness, acceptance, respect, empowerment, and sincerity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create, implement, and maintain treatment plans and complete ongoing documentation.
Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans based on clients’ needs.
Provide individual, family, or couples therapy as needed.
Utilize various therapeutic methods such as cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, cognitive processing, acceptance and commitment or solution-focused therapy.
Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including therapy session notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
Stay up to date with the lates industry trends, treatment methods and techniques, and continue professional development through education and training.
Provided crisis intervention as necessary.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by relevant regulatory bodies.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
Master’s Degree or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
Independently licensed with a New Jersey-issued clinical practice license (e.g., LPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
Proven experience as a Psychotherapist or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methods and the ability to apply these in practice.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills,
Strong understanding of ethical and legal considerations related to psychotherapy professions.
Ability to work with a diverse population and age groups.
Empathetic, patient, and compassionate nature with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
Proficiency in electronic health records systems
